Fall Travels: Extend Your Camping Season with DROPLET
Fall has arrived, and with it the welcomed return of campfire season, here in BC. We love fall camping: fewer people at the campsite, no suffocating heat, earlier sunset and Nature shedding her layers. Sure, the water may not feel as warm to swim in, but overall, it's great. It is a rejuvenating  feeling than the one of hitting the road towards a new destination, get to set camp, and head into nature without many other tourists around. While most seasonal campers think about retiring into their cosy homes, it feels as though our real camping season just starts. DROPLET truly [...]
DROPLET – Why So Simple?
When looking at the DROPLET, it appears obvious that we did not chose to build an extra large trailer, full of the latest toys and gadgets. We kept it simple. Why so simple you may ask? Well, ask anyone who works in engineering, design, music, or architecture and they will tell you that there is nothing simple about designing a simple item. At the core of our philosophy, we wanted to keep the DROPLET pure. From all of its aesthetic design lines, the apparent wood design,to the incorporation of a powder coated chassis, we build with high-tech materials in order [...]

Why Droplet is our favorite all-weather camping option
Dear fellow camper, before we jump into this post, let us begin with a few personal questions. How many times have you (or your partner) cursed the weather for going South during a multi-day camping trip? Did you ever abort a supposedly dream camping adventure, because the entirety of your clothes and gear got soaked inside your tent (or tent trailer) during a storm? Have you ever looked at those beautiful, shiny trailer campers parked next to you at the campsite,  secretly wishing your small car could tow it, so it was you who got to afford sleeping inside it, [...]
Droplet trailer – A (seemingly) tiny camper built for tall people
When seeing a Droplet trailer for the first time, few would imagine the inside to be very voluminous. Fewer would even think that it hides a perfectly sheltered kitchen space too.  Yet, don't be fooled by the first outside impression. The indoor space comfortably fits a plushy queen sized mattress, and it is spacious enough for two, even if you are a taller person than average like its designer, Pascal Pillon (6ft4"). Droplet  - Initial Criteria Pascal initially designed Droplet in collaboration with his partner Diane to accommodate for their personal desires to have a reliable camping pod to spend [...]
Vancouver Island Road Trip – Nanaimo -> Nanoose Bay -> Bowser -> Victoria
DROPLET TRAILERS hit the road on April 13th to Vancouver Island, in order to check the local RV Show in Nanoose Bay & meet with  prospective early adopters. Over 3 days, we traveled through 500+Km of scenic coastal drives and rain forest. Through those miles, we averaged 9L/100Km with our Toyota Matrix.  This place is a true Camper paradise. Dense forests, wild beaches, low population density, cheaper gas than the Lower mainland, and an array of charming coffee shops & antiques to visit. One known issue: it tends to rain frequently, and the coast gets a lot of wind. Where [...]
A Message from DROPLET’s CEO
[Words from Pascal, CEO of Droplet ] With the fast-approaching release of the first DROPLET camping trailers, I am overwhelmed with excitement at the prospect of growing the DROPLET community. I can’t wait for the first supporters of DROPLET to be camping in their very own teardrop camping trailers this upcoming camping season. Being a dreamer at heart, I am already thinking of the future and what it has to hold. One of my biggest dreams is to have a connected network of free campsites in the U.S.A and Canada for DROPLET owners and renters. When I first started dreaming [...]
